There is no such thing as easy money in MLM!

Most people who join an MLM do so thinking they are on the fast track to economic freedom. Often times their upline will tell them stories of people who enroll 10 people a day and are making 6 figures a month. Remember when you hear those stories that not everyone will have this success. I am sure if you check further into the background of those people you will find they are not the "overnight sensation" they are made out to be. Most of those people have been in MLM in one form or another for some time and have already paid their dues.

You have probably already heard that 97% of MLM'ers fail and why is that? It is because they are given unrealistic expectations at the beginning. They are given a proven system and told to follow it exactly and they will have the same results. Unfortunately everyone else in that downline is given the same proven system and they are also following it exactly. So you have an onslaught of people all competing for the same limited number of interested people. Often times it is only the luck of the draw as to who gets those leads, no matter what you have been told.

I don't want to sound completely pessimistic about MLM's because I am definitely not. There is money to be made in this industry. I am however against it being portrayed as a get rich quick opportunity. I think when it is portrayed this way it leads to a lot of frustrated and even angry people. MLM's can be a money making venture, but it takes time to reach the point where you earn some money.

When you decide to join an MLM make sure you are in it for the long haul. You need to understand that you will have to put forth a lot of effort and may not receive much if any monetary compensation at first. But stick with it, build your reputation, don't force feed people your opportunity. It may sound backwards but the last thing you want to do is sell people. The people who have been here the longest and made the most money have done that by building relationships with other people not just selling products. You will hear a lot about branding yourself and that is the only way you can have a long term place in this business. Again this is not always the first thing you are told. Most often you are told to try and prospect everyone first. This will then make it more difficult for you to build the relationships that you need because you have already tried to sell them.
Remember to treat others the way you want to be treated. Do you want to have business opportunities crammed down your throat every time you talk to someone? Don't treat everyone as a prospective customer and instead treat everyone as a prospective friend. You can never have to many friends in this life!

Mike Dillard explains winning !

There has been a lot of buzz lately about Mike Dillard and his new system, but I found this and thought it was definitely worth sharing with you:


For most of us, the word “winning”, is a very simple concept. You create a goal, and when you achieve it, you’ve won.

Well, there’s actually much more to it then that, because your subconscious mind has it’s own definition for “winning”, and whether you like it or not, you and your entire life are run by this little bugger.

If your subconscious doesn’t want you to “win” when it comes to wealth and money, you’re not going to. Period.

By definition, your subconscious thoughts and its agenda for your life are hidden from you, unless you’ve trained yourself to communicate with it.

If you don’t know what its definition of “winning” is for you right now, how can you ever move forward? And that’s the point on this letter… We’re going to find out what “winning” means to your subconscious right now…
There are 5 ways for you to win...

1: You win when you’re comfortable. This person’s primary goal is to just go through life as comfortably as possible. They don’t want stress. They don’t want to be pushed or challenged. They don’t like conflict. The just want to go through life on cruise control, hanging out with their friends, and having a good time.

Everything they do is designed to support their pursuit of comfort.

This is your average, life-long employee who’s more than happy to have a safe, stable, comfortable job.

If you push this person away from that goal, and challenge them or their routine lifestyle, watch out.

2: You win by being liked. This person’s primary goal in life is to be liked by others. They want acceptance from everyone, and will do just about anything to reach that goal. They’d rather be liked, than be right or wrong.

When you put someone like this in a leadership role, the business will usually fail because they won’t be willing to make hard decisions that would anger someone. They would try to please everyone all the time because their ultimate motivation is to be liked by others.

3: You win by being right. This person is usually an expert in a specific field like a professor, lawyer, or a wife. (Just kidding ladies! ?). People who win by being right, don’t accept criticism and aren’t open to new ideas.

They tend to reach a glass ceiling when it comes to money, their career, and relationships, because they can’t accept their short-comings in order to move past them and achieve personal growth. Arguing with this person never works because they’ll always find a way to prove you wrong, even if it means sabotaging your company in the process.

In order to win, this person must be right.

4: You win by winning. This person is an achiever. Their primary motivation is to win. They are very competitive, and will do whatever it takes to win. They won’t quit, and they’ll constantly push themselves to gain the edge they need.

This category describes all successful entrepreneurs and athletes. Winning is their reward, and on the dark side, some of them will go too far and compromise their integrity in order to do so. Key Lay of Enron is a great example.

This type of person doesn’t care if others don’t like them, and they welcome discomfort because it provides them with new opportunities to win.

This is how Robert wins, and looking at my past, this is how I win... Two State Championships in cycling. The #1 marketing system in the industry. Millionaire before 30. I win, by winning. I am constantly evaluating and improving myself, and will do whatever it takes, (with integrity), to be the best. Period.

5: You win by losing. This person wins by being a victim. They want sympathy from others or their spouse. Just when things start to get better, they will sabotage themselves, and say, “I knew it wouldn’t work”, giving them their victory once again.

There lives are always filled with problems because they don’t win unless they lose, so they create circumstances and excuses that help them fulfill that destiny like, “Your book won’t teach me anything new. I don’t have the money. This is just another scam. I’ll give it a try…”

Now if you’re like me when I was exposed to this, you’re taking a long hard look at your life right now.

There are people who are not wealthy because they want to be comfortable. There are people who are not healthy because they want to be comfortable. There are people who are stuck in the same job without a promotion for 10 years because they want to be liked. There are people who are addicted to struggle because they win by losing.

And most likely, you see a little of yourself in each of these categories.
I know I do, but what’s important to remember, is that winning is a continuous process that is brought to an end once you’ve won, which is an event.

As soon as you’ve “won”, the process starts all over again.

This is why you tend to feel lost or unfulfilled after you achieve a goal.
I know that once Magnetic Sponsoring became the #1 marketing system in the industry, I got lazy for a year.

I had won and didn’t know what to do next. I was a winner without a goal, so comfort took its place.

Once I was inspired by a new goal, my entire focus went back to “winning”, which is where I am right now.

I don’t know where you are at this moment in your life, but I do know this… Entrepreneurs win by winning, and they’ll do whatever it takes to fulfill that subconscious desire.

How to choose the right MLM for you!

If you are reading this you no doubt have several questions or concerns about multi-level marketing. The first and foremost is probably is it a scam?

That was my biggest question also. We have thrown money away in the past and I definitely did not want to do that again. I also knew we could not afford to spend a ton of money in today's economy just to get our foot in the door. So who do you choose?

My main concern was probably the same as most people's MONEY. If I go with a company with a large start up how would I ever sponsor anyone else? No one I know has any money nowadays. I was concerned that if the start up was free or low cost that the payouts would also be low. If they were high how could the company sustain itself? Short answer, it couldn't.

So we wanted to find a company that has two things: a reasonable start up and a good reputation. But finding a work at home business in Indiana wasn't easy so we turned to the internet.

It's mind boggling how many items come up when you search work at home or work from home in Indiana or work at home in Michigan or whatever state you live in. How do you choose the best MLM for you?

It first has to be one that has been around for more than a few months and has high quality people at the top. Do your research and don't just trust a kind face.

Choose a company and a product that you believe in. You have to be able to sell others on the opportunity and you can't do that if you don't believe in it yourself. Most people can tell when you are not sincere or not confident in your product. Make sure you educate yourself on the product and the company and are able to answer questions that will be asked of you without hesitation.
